Murano Grand Canal
Murano is an easy 10 minute boat ride trip from Venice and its worth a look whilst you tour the islands.
Murano has its own Grande Canal.

Most will come to see the glass blowers at work in the famous venetian glassware shops and museum. The glass factories were moved here from Venice by order of the Doges in 1292 as they were considered a fire hazard.
Murano is quite sprawled out - its actually a cluster of 5 islets so Its also pleasant just to wander the canals and have some lunch here - probably less crowded than Venice too.
