Passing through Padova

by sandysmith - last update: Sep 24, 2004

Prato Park reflection
We almost stayed in Padova and intended to visit here and train into Venice for the other days before we found a good hotel deal on Murano. So our trip to Padova was in reverse - a train ride from Venice.
I was enjoying Venice but the thought of Padova niggled away in the back of my mind - had to see it and get those reflections in the central park I'd seen on other VT pages.
Prato reflection
Well maybe because it was too hot here without a bit of breeze from off the lagoon in Venice or maybe because it seemed like a trudge from the railway station into the centre of Padova but I can't say this was my favourite place. We had some lunch and walked around the town for a couple of hours and then I was hankering to get back to Venice :-S
Maybe another visit in its own right and I would feel better about this place. Time will tell.....
Well we will be in Venice Sept 2005 for a week so maybe we will give it another go.
