Rome Revisited

Sandy and Sara in Rome
Well we first visited Rome on a day trip whilst on honeymoon and barely scratched its surface.
Now we are back from a 4 day visit 18 years later, kind of a second honeymoon ;-))
What a wonderful hectic few days we had and such lovely blue sky weather too.
Thanks to Sara (Sarita76) for meeting with us on our arrival in Rome and giving us a
lovely walking tour of some of the sights in Rome and enjoying a delicious ice-cream.
Hugs to you Sara!.

We've still only scatched the surface of Rome but this page attempts to shows our
impressions of this lovely city.

did I tell the truth...??

Speak the Truth

The Bocca della Verita - the mouth of Truth made a change from me puting my foot in it. But what did I say about Richie or Steve and did this old drain cover bite my hand if I told a lie as legend dictates...???

A few days is never enough :-(

Rome is somewhere you always neeed more tiime for. We had just a few days and I know there are must see things we had to miss - like the catacombs - due to time constraints. Here is a brief summary of out sightseeing:

DAY1:
afternoon meeting with Sara - Barberini, Spanish steps, Piazza Popopl, Pincio, Trevi and Quirnale hill.

DAY2:
Colesseum, Palantine Hill, Forum, Capitoline Hill, Piazza Venezia, Trajan markets, Pirimide, Bocca della Verita, Teatro di Marcello and Trastevere.

DAY3:
Vatican, Castel Sant'Agnelo, Janiculum Hill, old historic centre of Rome for Piazza Navone and pantheon etc.. Trastevere in the evening.

DAY4:
a contrast was a trip to Tivoli - the town itself and the two villas nearby.
