Sousse is situated on the east coast of Tunisia, some 140km from the capital Tunis. A week here in Sousse, Tunisia's 3rd largest city was a most enjoyable break from the damp, rain and snow of England. We enjoyed just lazing in the hotel grounds, walking along the beach and exploring the old medina of Sousse with its Grand Mosque, museums and haggling in the souks.

The next resort along is Port El Kantoaui - a lovely place to visit with its marina and dancing fountains - even though its a purpose built resort.

Hi Sandy, enjoyed your tour of Sousse for us here thanks - had hoped to get there myself as theres a famed weekly textile souk but ran out of time....so another country Ive liked very much and want to go back to!

Well thanks for the info Yet one thing i didnt catch if u mind Wouldnt it be better if You mentioned the name of the souk please cause that way You are not specific >>> or is there a souk by the name sousse souk ???

Nice! I love the photo of the master bedroom at the Dar Essid Museum - so incredibly exotic! I'd love to visit Tunisia - your page makes it look so enticing!
