Getting TO/AROUND: The loveley fjord like Kongissee is some 5 miles long and a trip around it stopping off at various places is a relaxing way to spend the day. To preserve the quietness of the lake and clearness of the water electric boats have been used since 1909. Allow two hours alone for the round trip withouth stopping but if making a day of it, tickets with a green stripe allow one stop at Batholoma and once at Saletalm-Obersee. During the trip the boat will stop In the centre of the lake for the boatman to play a trumpet or bugle to demonstrate the echoes which bounce off the mountains. A wonderful experience.
