September 2010 a week's break in Zell am See area of Austria
May 2010 we were in Mykonos, Delos, Tinos, Paros and Naxos, had a fab time hopping around these islands.
Warm weather and less crowded made it a real treat. My Tinos page is all finished now.
St Lucia in March 2010 for our Silver wedding was wonderful too, being spoilt by Sandals
Our first trip in 2009 was a wedding anniversary break to Taormina in Sicily.
5 sun filled days here to admire the views of Etna. Started off well with a well organised flight by BA and for once was on the right side of the plane and had wonderful views of snow covered Etna glistening in the late afternoon sun with not a cloud in sight.
Next up was an all-inclusive lazy break in Side in Turkey
Sept we enjoyed Schladming in the Stryria region of Austria. 11 packed days full of hiking and apple strudel!
Last holiday of 2009 will be in La Palma, a lesser known more authentic Canary Island

Our last holiday in 2008 was in the Greek Islands. Mainly based on Kos Island, where we made trips to Patmos, kalymnos, Nisyros and a couple of other smaller islands. A wonderful sunny time, good food and plenty of relaxation time too - just perfect. Patmos Page is now ready - enjoy!

July we were in Switzerland for our mountain and hiking fix - a combination of Blatten to hike the new bridge route, a favourite resort of Kandersteg and new to us Adelboden over 11 days.

Oct. it was Greek sunshine in Kos and Patmos
So wonderful to have sunshine in ALL our holidays

VT Life..the morning after the night before...

The life of a VT'er building pages and surfing VT...here we are straight from bed, not dressed, hair not combed, trying to wake up with my VT fix and cooked breakfast delivered by an ever patient husband......but did he have to take a pic....the office looks such a mess ;-0

About me....

at work

Married for oh so many years now and enjoy travelling with Dave my better half. I'm a Senior Biomedical Scientist working in a busy district general hospital to pay for those travels. My work speciality is Histopathology which is the study of tissues in the diseased state - a great dinner conversation killer and put people right off their liver and onions ;-)

The Tourist

I'm not ashamed to say I enjoy the touristy things whilst on holiday. Have enjoyed several city breaks in recent years - especially the italian ones.
Some of my favourite cities abroad are:
Venice
Verona
Rome
Prague

and at home:
Liverpool
York
Chester

Also we enjoying walking in the mountains - usually with the aid of cable-cars for a head start, OK so I often cheat but it saves the leg work!

Switzerland
Dolomites
Austria

REFLECTIONS

West Kirby sunset

I obviously love photography when travelling and I particulary look out for reflection pictures.

Even better when I get sunsets reflected in the marina of my home town of West Kirby....you'll often find me dashing out there for the sunset.
