Don't Miss Yummy thick chocolate - Baguio City
Chocolate de Batirol: Don't Miss Yummy thick chocolate

This is a highly recommended place to visit while in Camp John Hay. It is a garden kitchen, a place to relax, enjoy a good meal like sipping the thick chocolate in Baguio’s fresh, cool weather. My Baguio visit won't be complete with out sipping there thick chocolate.

Favorite Dish: They have the best chocolate de batirol in the country this classic thick Spanish chocolate made from tableas’ (blocks of cocoa powder), milk and sugar, the patiently and constant use of the wooden whisk in the pot to both melt and thicken it make it really delicious. This small restaurant is not just about merienda anymore but full meals and homemade take-out items, too. Their specialties include Beefsteak, Sisig, Pork Barbecue, and bottles of Chocolate Paste, Taba ng Talangka, Garlic Peanuts. Of course try their Suman sa Latik, Pansit Palabok or Bibingka

Don't Miss Fresh Baguio Bounty Salad - Baguio City
Café By The Ruins: Don't Miss Fresh Baguio Bounty Salad

Our trip to baguio wouldn't be complete without visiting cafe by the ruins. breakfast is just superb as well as the ambience, it's like Sonya's Garden in Tagaytay meets Baguio's art scene. This Café now stands used to be the pre-war residence of the governor of Benguet. The structure was destroyed by the American forces, in pursuit of the Japanese Army. All that was left behind was a wall which in 1988, the owners of the lot ingeniously built around to be incorporated into the overall theme of the café.

Favorite Dish: There Baguio Bounty Salad Baguio’s very owned lettuce and strawberries. With watercress, mangoes, bananas, shrimps and fish. I also love there Mechado a pot-roasted beef with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and buttered vegetables it is not a Mechado with a red sauce that usually served in Pilipino table.

What an ambience of vegie food - Baguio City
Oh My Gulay OMG: What an ambience of vegie food

This is a must-go place in Baguio City, a cave-like entryway into this restaurant, I am sure you will also love the bohemian meets rocker artsy feel of the place, the décor will definitely remind you of Never Never Land with its odd spaces, old Spanish Galleon, indigenous artworks, a fish pond in the middle of the restaurant, the interior itself speaks of its exciting levels lots of pathways, bridges and climbs to your coziest dining space.

Favorite Dish: Don't forget to order there bestseller, Lumpia Salad, it is a glorious mix of fresh lettuce and watercress, served with an Asian dressing and deep fried lumpia (also known as a spring roll). The lumpia is filled with soft tofu, oyster mushrooms and carrots. Yummy.
