- Pros:Fantastic seafood and other Ligurian specialities, historic place of contact with other countries, beautiful marina area
- Cons:Some areas at night are unsavoury at best and downright dangerous at worst. Make sure you know where you're going.
- In a nutshell:Genoa is unique amongst the northern Italian cities, with an almost tropical decadence created by palm trees, bright blue sea, peeling palazzi and edgy sidestreets.
