Working in a small community in Iquitos Hi there, I had the opportunity to enjoy the visit of 2 visitors from Sweeden. They were helping us with the social work we are doing in a small community called "Santa Clara del rio Amazonas - II zona". The experience was really good, for them and for us too. We were teaching english, and classes about recycling materials. I will add some pics of the area, and if you want to know more about this experience, you can visit my site. Eduardo Rios. |

The community Santa Clara community is located along the amazon river, just 40 minutes in boat from Iquitos. We can take the boat in the Bellavista-Nanay port, then go down the river. This community is not at the bank, so from the bank we have to walk at least 30 minutes. there's no electricity, or drink water. Although, there's a well, its not working. |
Classes One of the volunteers teaching basic english to the kids... first time they were interacting with a foreigner, and learning about the world too. |
Recycling classes too Even they took the time to talk a little about recycling plastic bottles. It's an important topic if we learn more about contamination. |
Nice sunset This is a nice sunset from Barrio Florido port.... beautiful sunset in the amazon river. |
