Wild Dogs! and other Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania General Tips

Favorite Thing: There are 3000 African Wild Dogs left in this world... to put that in perspective, there are at least three times more cheetahs than that... and the Selous is home to the largest population of the Dogs (1700). I personally LOVE wild dogs. Before seeing them, I wondered what all the fuss was about - it isn't unusual for people to spend entire weeks following the dogs and ignoring all other animals. Since seeing them, I completely understand. The Dogs are the most interesting animal I've seen. They're always busy, always interacting with one another, and they some how accept your presence too... accept you into the group. It's a once in a lifetime experience that people shouldn't miss. If you visit the Selous, Look for WILD DOGS!
