This is the city where I started my expatriate life. I will never forget my first day when I arrived in Milan. I came to Duomo square with a friend of mine and we spent a few hours walking around the square.
Life would be very boring in Milan without my friends. I was lucky to have many colleagues in my age. I also had the chance to meet many Turkish friends who lived in Milan.
Duomo square is like the heart of Milan. You always see the big cathedral in pictures. But few people pay attention to the square itself as they are so much impressed by the cathedral. This was a spot I used to spend some time watching people.
- Pros:Very central location for reaching any destination in Europe, A food heaven
- Cons:Regular strikes on public transportation system
