| | My Favorite Things (R.Rodgers, O.Hammerstein) My Favorite Airline NORTHWEST: Please! Don't call'em 'NorthWorst' anymore. Whenever I get into their World Business Class, they make me feel like at home. Congratilations for happy marriage (ofcourse some rough ride ahead) with Delta's Sky Team. Now you can earn World Perks miles eating Korean Bibin-pub on board with Korean Air flight.
My Favorite Jetliner ILYUSHIN 86: This aircraft has a BASEMENT! You can get on board using this basement section directly from the ground without jetway or gangway-car. This lovely ex-Soviet made jet has also wooden toilet seat, metal tray table, and Y-class seats that recline FORWARD! (That means you can stretch your legs 100% even in Aeroflot Y-class if you are lucky enough to have vacant seat in front of you.)
My Favorite Airport AMSTERDAM SCHIPHOL: Good massage in business class lounge. Great aviation shop called 'World of Wings' in Schiphol Plaza. Easy to get in, get out, and kill time. Smooth air-to-ground connection. The best airport in the world, I think. Still expanding. Amazing. P.S. Ladies, check out really realistic FLY icons in mens' bathroom.
My Favorite Coffee on Board ALITALIA: The best coffee above 30,000ft. One sip looking down beautiful Lake Como after taking off from MXP is really great experience.
My Favorite Hotel THE CLARIDGE'S,LONDON: I don't know why every good old hotel in Europe has a small reception counter. I really love the atomosphere around this beautiful hotel especially in quiet Sunday morning. Jeffrey Robinson's "The Hotel" is telling the story of this hotel in an attractive manner.
My Favorite Country CUBA: Cuba is the only another planet you can go by Mexicana's Boeing 727 old tri-jet. Great music, great cigars and great people. Hope stupid Japanese group tourist won't ruin this jewel. Don't forget to check out Cubana's Ilyushin 62M jetliners. They are precious antiques only small numbers of them remain active on the earth.
My Favorite Inflight Meal AEROFLOT/FIRST CLASS: Caviar! Caviar! Caviar! Russian black bread and selection of smoked fish are also yammy. Temporary bar counter FA makes with a bunch of bottles (ofcourse some vodka included)at bulkhead space during cruising is quite interesting.
My FavoriteCity CHICAGO,IL: Blues, Mies van der Rohe and breakfast under 'L'. What else do I need? Even in windy weather in this windy city, walking along Chicago river watching fabulous buildings is a lot of fun. |
