Makwanpur garhi was a very powerful state during the' Sen' dynasty. 'Prithvi Narayan Shah ',the first 'Shah' king of the United Nepal was married here, and the structures here consist of many ancient wells ,temples of various hindu gods and all within the palace stonewalls . This beautifully situated ancient architectures are forgotton due to the presentday government not paying attention , and also our tourism board ,staying limited and not expanding their views. This was the capital of' Hem Karna Sen 'a very powerful king of the' Sen 'dynasty. When 'Prithvi Narayan Shah' was uniting Nepal ,he gave a tough battle, retaliating continuosly and in the end 'Prithivi Narayan Shah 'married here to end all feuds and win over the 'Sen 'king .The proof of all these episodes is still lying within the palace walls of the Attractive hevenly abode.Within the palace walls inside the temple, a Huge Statue of lord 'Krishna 'is existing to this day and every birthday of lord' Krishna 'which falls in the mouth of September , a huge festival takes place here .People from far and near come to pay their homage ,but it is really necessary for the administration to introduce this place nationally as well as internationally and also maintain it . |

| | Makwanpur Garhi Makwanpur Garhi is situated about 25 km ,north –east of Hetauda, the capital of Makwanpur It has been existing ,since ancient times ,between the lower hills of the Mahabharat range of mountains .It’s beauty lies in it’s surrounding s .It’s importance is further enhanced due to historical reasons .North of Makwanpur garhi is the Aambhanjyang village ,south is Harnamadi village east is Thingan village and finlly in the west lies the city of Hetauda .To reach Makwanpur garhi on foot from Hetauda it takes about six to seven hours ,but during the dry season ,one can travel by other modes of transportation. Although,Makwanpur garhi is of extreme tourist importance and easily reachable ,it has yet to be introduced in our tourist itenary . Makwanpur Garhi being situated in between high hills and mountains ,the all around sceriery from on top is splederous .One can view beautiful farmlands down south, along with lots of typical village atyle houses ,and huts .When the weather is clear you can get a mindblowing view of the Chure mountainand Birgunj down below ,which is commonly known as the gateway to Nepal ,and after that Indian territary initiates .On the northern side lies the Breath-taking Mahabharat range of mountains ,and from this high plateau ,away from all the pollution of the city one heels a hevenly experience and your soul is lifted beyond words .My viewpoint and many others feel that if Makwanpur garhi is taken seriously by our goverrment and introduced officially to the many mountain loving tourist ,it could be a great asset to the whole country .A beautifulplace is already exsting and all they have to do is improve the old road, advertise and maintain the palace walls and the temple structures withinit .If done so, it would be of great financial imprtance to the government and also to the surrounding people. |
