Calcutta the old city

Calcutta ,known as the old city of India is the Capital of west Bengal ,initially the Capital of British India.
Mostly made of Bengalis from India originally and Bangladesh(refugees) and a large Muslim Population ,
Calcutta is hushustling-bustling with people .
There are several huge market places ,Hindu temples,Mosques, old buildings and many Victorian monuments almost 200 years old.

Our Friends and Family

We were recently invited by Our V.T friend Mr Gautam Mitra and family,to spend some time with them .
Although we met through the V.T few months ago in Kathmandu ,they have become very close to us and we feel we are one family.
We stayed in their home for 10 days and it felt as if we are living in our own home .
Mr Gautam Mitra who is an executive in the ACC cement there along with his wife Rakhi Bhabi and their 12 years old doughter Aparajita were extremely good hosts ,and lost no time in making us feel homely.
Losing no time, from the day we arrived ,they took us around Calcutta and it's neighbouring places in their car .
We drove around the city visited many famous restaurants, market places and land marks .
During our stay The ACC cement was celeberating their annual function , so not even two days had gone by and we had a blast at the Gala Carnival hosted by Acc Cement.
Our visit being Christmas and New year time ,we enjoyed our selves throughly till the 1st of January, all credit goes to our dearest family friends Mr Gautam Mitra and family.
