Travel the World.

by wsloh - last update: Jul 4, 2007

What can I say, I love travelling.

Me in Kapadokya, Turkey!!!
I love to travel, hate the plane ride though. What can I say, I only had a hint of what it feels like to travel when I'm 26. Made my first trip (paid on my own) when I'm 26 and ever since, I feel that it's worth it.

The experience you gain, the insights, the feeling of exhilaration are all worth it. In most places anyway.

It's not the place, it's you.

Another thing I learn from my various adventures (which is not many but enough to learn this), very often, it's not the place that make you feel good when travelling, but the experience, the journey, the people who makes you feel welcomed, AND behind all this, what you get from the journey, the experience, the people and culture, is REALLY UP TO YOU!!!

Be tolerant.

If you're lucky, you travel with a group of buddies. But sometimes, when timing is not right, you meet other people on board. Be tolerant to other people and respect their needs, they'll respect you too. I encountered people who needs to spend time praying while on the road, and people who thank god for th food on the table, which being a capitalist I don't really believe in, But I can accept that they do.

Break us down to our genomes, regardless skin color, race, nationality and religion, we're really not very different.
My travel group in Ha Long Bay.
The Friendly People of Turkey.

My top "must visit place" before you die......

The Republic of Turkey.

I have never encountered such warmth and genuinely generous hospitality elsewhere I have been. Not to down grade anyone, but the Turkish people possess a kind of charm and warmth you'll probably won't feel elsewhere.

Despite our difference in color, race, religion, language and nationality, they welcome you into their homes and genuine warmth that no words can describe. You have to be there to know what I mean. In every corner, we meet local people who're willing to walk that extra mile for you, if you need them to. In return, they merely demand your genuine acceptance of their kindness.

They're genuine in their friendliness.
