| | 2008 TRAVELS 1. NORWAY - video- I fell in love with NORWAY. I couldn't wait to get back. I've been nagging my mom about this since winter of last year. I knew I had to come back. I love the cold winter weather in Norway. 2. GERMANY, Cologne - video- This was an impulsive trip to Cologne. I was able to avail of the promotional ticket of Thalys that runs from Brussel to Cologne in just an hour and a half time. 3. FRANCE, Paris- video- A five-day immersion program in Paris. 4. | | 2007 TRAVELS 1. NORWAY-video---This is my second coming to Norway. The first one was in 2002. Back then, I was not able to make a grand tour of the capital city, Oslo, that's why this time, I concentrated more on the cultural Oslo. 'have not visited a lot of its attractions, but have pretty much covered the important sights. 2. LUXEMBOURG-video---I was able to avail of the promotional ticket to Luxembourg so, I headed to the financial capital of Europe for a day trip. 3. BELGIUM, Durbuy-video - We've taken the train to Barvaux, walked to Durbuy and went to the Radhadesh centre of Hare Krishna. 4. THE NETHERLANDS, Maastricht-video- Our trip to Maastricht in August 2007. It was quite cloudy at first, but then the sun brightened the beautiful city. On this day, there was also a big event: "Jeu de Boules" on the Vrijthof. 5. GERMANY, Trier-video- Trier is a city just at the boundary of Luxembourg and Germany. This place is easily accessible from Brussels by train. I love the warm-welcoming ambiance of this town, an irresistable German gastronomy, a city of culture and a shopping paradise for shoppaholics! 6. GERMANY, Aachen 7. BELGIUM, Brussels 8. | | MUST SEE PLACES... Here are some places that I want to visit and re-visit in the NEAREST future:
1. Definitely COPENHAGEN. After the recent trip to Norway, I regretted not visiting Copenhagen even just for a day (or two).
2. ICELAND - Definitely a "must go" place. I am crazy about extreme cold temperatures!
3. Back to the U.S.A. - visit friends and relatives! I miss my aunties and cousins.
4. The south of FRANCE
5. NORWAY - crossing the Arctic Circle in the winter.
7. The PHILIPPINES

| | Born to travel I really can't remember when was the first time that I travelled. I just woke up one day and I was already wearing some shoes for walking. My mom had a great influence on me. When I was very young, she would take me out into the back seat of the car, in my pajamas, buckled me up before I knew it, I was already two hours away from home...in my pj's!
The real fun started when I was nine years old, when I became Mom's navigator and travel planner. We used to pick up some travel brochures and used it to plan our travels. We never really used any travel agencies then and now. We find planning our travels on our own as a very exciting thing to do. Mom trusts me with the research on places that we want to visit and of course, the map reading! She drives, I lead. |
