Germany

The new palace

Stuttgard

This trip was my wife and myself along with another couple who are our very good friends. They had family members living in Stuttgard and we spent several days with them. My wife and I had been in Stuttgard about twenty years earlier and it was real fun to return.

Special places in Stuttgard were the Mercedez Benez Museum, the Rotenburg Chapel, The Palaces of the city center (old and new) and Old Esslingen.
City Hall

Munich

The second stop was Munich. It rained! When we were here several years ago Marienplatz was full of entertainers (one of the best mimes we had ever seen) but this time the rains chased them away. The four of us hung out on the plaqtz and played in the rain.

Our hotel was near the Olympic Park and when the rain let up we walked in the park
Rothenburg city wall

Rothenburg

About 10 days after leaving Munich we arrived in Rothenburg. By this time we had been in Austria, The Czech Republic, and Holland. Tired but still courious.

We walked the wall at least half way around the city, what a view!

Germany is my favorite country, but I never knew they had a Legoland!

This will be a very interesting page. I love Germany, even if I have visited only a part of it. Keep on the good work.
