Back in the middle of the 19th century my Greatgrand Father's family came through the northern part of Ohio on the was from Canada to Missouri. In 2005 we visited the area. Stayed in Akron and visited, Kirkland, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, The Erie and Ohio Canal, and the Cuyahoga Scenic Railroad

We spent a fun day visiting the sale barns and shops in Amish country. Follow highway 62 or 39 to Millersburg, Berlin or Walnut Creek where you can shop for handmade quilts, artwork and furniture.

Just up the road from Lexington, Theme Parks, The famous Purple People Mover pedistrain bridge, Professional sports and a world class airport that just happens to be in Kentucky.
