Ice fishing in Northern Colorado - Colorado

Winter or summer Colorado is an outdoor state

Winter brings more than skiing to Colorado. The lakes in the Northern part of the state provide great ice fishing. Fishing equipment is available at almost any sporting goods store and it will not cost an arm and a leg!

Natural steam baths and thermal pools

The state has many hot springs, thermal pools and steam baths. A word of caution! Many of the remote springs and pools do not always require bathing atire.

Narrow guage railroads

Georgetown Loop Railroad

Take an old fasioned train ride. There are many fully restored trains running throughout the Rockies. The Georgetown to Silver Plume Loop is easy to catch, just off I-70.

Looks like a great place. We are possibly visiting in late Sept 2010-not sure what the weather would be like then!
