HI VT FRIENDS, I am Camilo Gutierrez, born and raised in Cali, Colombia, But living in Bogota right now.

Photography has been a very important aspect of my life, and especially during my trips around the world. Taking pictures during my trips is everything for me and I enjoy every moment I spend out there.

I am what you may call a self-taught photographer. The greatest part of my education has been through uncounted hours of testing and experimenting with different shots. I often discovered that the results were not exactly what I had expected.

When I started photograph back in high school, the shots were of the common family and friends.. Later with the years, I developed an eye and started to discovered through my photography that I could freeze and relive the moments of the great ancient civilizations that ever developed.

So for me history and photography go hand by hand when ever I Travel. Before arriving to any country, I spend months before a trip searching and studying the most important aspects of what a country can offer, such as: history, geography, economy, culture, people, etc...
