I have lived here all my life and everytime I travel, I always look forward to coming home. Our City and area is very green due to the copious amounts of rain we get each year. Ironically, we are now in what is considered a drought, thank goodness we have lots of evergreen trees. I highly recommend visiting our mountains, taking a ferry ride to any of our islands, enjoy our waterfront downtown, and our very blue sky. I must warn that we do have many "gray" days but having grown up here I appreciate the variations of gray we have. We really do have sunny days which are breathtaking in beauty and much enjoyed by all who live here. A popular phrase among locals "the Mountain is out" or "Did you see the Mountain today?, it is georgeous!!" Of course it is referring to Mount Rainier our crowning majestic mountain. Enjoy your visit.
