Sea Viewing Corridor

No matter where you are in Zhanjiang you will not be too far from the sea. Possibly the most renowned areas is that which stretches from Changqiao Wharf to Sea City (floating restaurant) commonly known as the Sea-Viewing Corridor. This area takes in Time Square, and Seashore Park, both offering safety from the blazing summer sun.

Huguangyan National Scenic Area

Apart from being a scenic area, Huguangyan is also a national geological park famous for its natural volcanic relic. It has the most typical and largest maar (volcanic) lake in the world. Formed by a massive volcanic eruption somewhere between 140,000 and 160,000 years ago the lake is a AAAA rated travel area. The lake area totals some 4.7 kilometres.

Donghai Island

Donghai Island is ranked as the 5th largest island in China. In recent years a popular holiday resort has been built on the island's east side. The island also boosts a forest, South China Sea and a 28 kilometre long beach.
