What to expect from Salou.

Salou is a very built up and typically English orientated Spanish resort. Pubs, bars, high rise hotels, clubs, restaurants etc. in abundance. It's also home to Port Aventura theme park which is just up the road. Inside Port Aventura is Costa Caribe water park. This impressive park is great for families, couples or anyone out for a bit of daredevil fun. Inside the theme park you'll find shows, rides, rollercoasters galore and much more all set in fantastic different worlds, from chinatown to wild west and more. The dragon Khan in Chinatown is the biggest rollercoaster of the park and is a must to go on, although height restrictions will apply on all major rides. The beach in Salou is very impressive and absolutely massive. The whitest of sands without a stone in sight shelve down into the med. Shopping is good in Salou with various little markets and stools everywhere near the seafront. Great Brittish orientated destination with plenty to do for couples or families and singles due to the amount of bars and clubs there in high season. Don't come to Salou if you want a quiet getaway with real culture and less of a holiday maker feel to it.

Other areas easily accesible.

Whilst staying in Salou you can venture off and see different parts of Spain without having to travel too far. About an hour north by car is Barcelona with it's ancient city and fantastic architecture. Then there's Andorra, for duty free shopping and great markets. A little closer to you there are great fishing villages and coastal resorts such as Cambrills just a ten minute drive down the road from Salou. Here you will find a more traditional Spanish feel to the place. This is one of the areas where the Spanish themselves live, away from their day to day lives of working in the bars and hotels. Salou is only 15 minutes away from Reus airport so it makes your transfer quick and easy and if you fancy booking a flight to another part of Spain for the day then obviously can take the stress out of it.
