Getting TO/AROUND: from our disappointing visit to the petronas towers we were planning to go around the city and visit some more sites but we weren't really too sure where to go first. we were outside waiting for a cab and this taxi with a chinese guy stopped for us and offered us his service. his name is steven and we are so glad we got a hold of this guy! he's the man! steven knew KL inside out and offered to drive us to the top spots in the city. he became not just our taxi driver but also our guide. from one destination to the other he was giving us information on the city, the sights, the people and everything in between. best of all he just kept the meter running all throughout (even when we would stop at a sight and look around for a bit) and never charged us extra just what was on the meter! it turns out steven is somewhat known by a lot of people (even foreigners) who come in and out of KL because he's a fair and decent driver. he even arranged a driver for us when we wanted to go out of the city and also for our transportation to the airport on our last day! what else can i say but that this guy is a gem of a find! i sooo strongly suggest you get in touch with him if you're ever in KL. you won't regret it.
i've listed steven's numbers below. he said he never changed his numbers (not once) since the time he got it so i'm pretty certain you'll be able to reach him at these numbers. unfortunately we weren't able to take any pictures with him in it so i won't be able to give you an idea of how he looks like. if you do get in touch with him tell him the philippine family who visited last november says hi!
