We are just back from Egypt having stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Sharm. Holioday was completely spoiled by the catering which was not up to standard, very poor selection of food. never any dishes or cutlery . Staff were completely overwhelmed at times. I complained as did several others however judjing from the comments on this site they have heard it all before. We were half board and for dinner we were not allowed to use the main dining room La Veranda which was reserved for the all inclusive guests (mainly Russian I think)
Bars were very pricey for a miserable measure of drink. We could not use the beach bars as these were not able to accept money or room charge cards as they were for the use of the all inclusive guests. Altogether very dissapointing and certainly not five star as suggested by our travel agent.
Unique Qualities: Nice complex with five clean pools one of which is supposed to be heated. Rooms a bit dated.
A bit isolated from town (about ten minutes in a taxi)
