The first bit of Indian soil my little feet hit was Delhi and whilst I was rushed into a world utter unruliness I was captivated. Why oh why when that Icelandic volcano spewed its ash stranding me in India did I get stuck in Mumbai and not Delhi?
Apparently at least 8 known cities were founded in Delhi but it is all so complicated that I shall skip merrily forwards to 1931 when Delhi was officially inaugurated and then to 16 years later when it became the capital of Independent India.
The streets are crazy but the cows wandering around the honking, beeping, parp-parping crazy traffic do not seem to be in the least bit perturbed. The roads are disorganised chaos but the auto rickshaws drive with as much passion (either on their side of the road or the other) into the path of the oncoming truck as the taxi cab does towards the bell ringing, wobbling cycle rickshaws! Everyone who uses the road knows the size of their vehicle or cart to within just a few millimeters and, strangely enough it would seem the faster you drive through a tight gap the thinner the vehicle becomes! But the two most remarkable observations I made were the lack of serious accidents and the calmness with which the Indian drivers navigate their way through the pandemonium!

I do not figure how you can jump to assumptions from the tips I have written. I loved Delhi. As it happens it was my favourite Indian city. I also like Rajasthan very much, had a wonderful time there and have some very special memories. Why should I not praise Gwalior?!!!
why kutb minar does not figure in delhi phographs. it seems u did not like delhi. me visites a week back in gwalior which u have praised loke anything. i likes too.rajasthan is not figuring too

Some interesting tips
Wow, You're really exploring...
My daughter thought she was going to get stranded in Delhi, but then the volcanic ash dispersed and her plane flew as scheduled after all. The city sounds fascinating but a bit scary, especially the traffic chaos.
