San Benito House: Best Sandwhiches on the Coast

San Benito House is mostly a Bed and Breakfast/Inn. However, they have a Deli which is only open during the day and serves your basic deli foods sandwhiches and salads. I have only had their sandwhiches but they are some of the best sandwhiches I have ever tasted. They make their own bread which is very tasty. I have tried all three of their breads, white, wheat and Olive Walnut (which is relatively new for them). You can order either a half a sandwhich or an entire sandwhich. The deli is located off to the side of the inn. It has a nice patio area where you can eat outside and enjoy the nice coastal air. If you want, you can also go into the little bar area of the inn and eat in there. You know this place is good because it is frequented by a lot of locals.

Favorite Dish: If you want to be a little daring and try something different, I recommend trying the Olive Walnut Bread. It is tasty. And it has bits of olives and walnuts in it. I enjoyed it very much.

Spanishtown: Quaint Mexican Restaurant

An old house converted into a Mexican Restaurant, gives Spanishtown its homey and small atmosphere. They have large portions and a variety of food. I have been there a couple of times and have tried a different things each time. They serve variety of typical Mexican entrees, so you won't really be surprised when you get your order. While Half Moon Bay offers quite a few "fast food type" Mexican Restaurants, they don't have a lot to choose from when it comes to sit-down Mexican. If you want to eat at a sit-down Mexican Restaurant and you are in Half Moon Bay, this is a great place to go. The staff is very friendly.
