if you visit luxor both the karnak and luxor temples are worth a visit karnak also has a sound and light show at night wich is also good
the valley of the kings and queens is also a must when visiting luxor if you want to enter tutankamunes tomb it costs an extra E50 but his mummy is still in the tomb

hot air balloon

a lovely way to see luxor is by taking an early morning balloon flight from the west bank to watch the sun rise it is an unforgetable experiance
i have always been afraid of hights but the flight was so smoth you hardly new you were moving so dont be afraid to give it a try both me and two of my fellow travlers have overcome our fear of hights since doing the flight and i cant wait to do it again the only down side to it was having to leave the hotel at about 5-00 to catch the sunrise but it was well worth it
you also get a t shirt and a certificate to say than you done the flight which is just as well as my family would never have belived i had done it without proof

evening camel ride

we went to fellas tent for the evening were we were entertained with snake charming,belly dancing and camel rides you could also have as much food and drink as you liked it was very good and i would highly recomend it it is held at the movenpick hotel in luxor but you do not have to be a guest at the hotel to go you just book through a tour operator it is held on tuesday and sunday nights from 4-30---9-30 you get a sail down the nile to the movenpick on a fellucia when you arrive you are given a gabbala(long egyption dress) to ware for the evening this you are allowed to keep
i cant remember the cost but it was well worth it there is also a man filming everybody and all the evenings entertainment and you can order a copy on dvd which is also nice to keep
