There are several taxi companies a tourist can trust while he/she is in Pleven, the situation has changed a LOT since the previous review written several years ago. These companies even reject your call and call you immediately after that at their expense. Their cars have taximeter and you won't get lied. Such companies are Express Taxi (cell phone number 0885998888), Rio Taxi ( cell phone 0885035555), Orion Taxi (835454 and 825454) and Svetlina Taxi (8989). The prices are usually 0.39 lv per km during the day and 0.49 lv per km after 9.00 pm till 6.00 am.
There are also trolleybuses in Pleven you can use to travel around the town, but their routes are not so many - in fact i think there are 13 routes(trolleys with numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 57, 93, 94, 97), but most of them aren't so regular. The tickets are bought inside the trolleybus and costs 0.50 lv no matter what the distance is.
