Miami, residence of millionaires! | One of the mansions in Miami |
I missed my cruise ship to go to the Key West, Cayman Islands, Ocho Rios and Belize! That was awful! I was stucked at the Miami International Airport for six hours! However, while I was waiting for my friend to come pick me up at the airport, I made some few friends and made a different itirenary.
Yes, I made some few friends who were stucked at the airport as well - they were waiting for their airline for Peru!
What should I do?
The next flight leaving for Seattle is in four days! My ship has already sailed and soon to be in Key West.
I scanned my address book (I always bring my old address book along with my new one) and found out that I know a friend's sister who lives in Fort Lauderdale! I called her and luckily she answered the phone! She came and picked me up at the airport. I stayed in her house for four days and she toured me around Miami and Fort Lauderdale!
We took a boat and glided through the canals where the rich people live- I saw the mansion of the owner of Radio Shack, the house of Six Million Dollar Man (Lee Majors), etc. I can't remember all those millionaires' names! I just remember that they live in outrageously huge estates! |
| We went to a local cruise instead |
| | Have a mansion and a yacht, too! Miami is famous destination for famous actors and actresses in the United States. Miami is the residence of famous singer Enrique Iglesias, Gloria Estefan and Jennifer Lopez. It is a city where at the airport, most people speaks Spanish!
Everywhere I go, I feel like I am in Latin America! The bus driver is from Haiti, the attendant who helped me at the airport is from Columbia, and the people who works at the store where I bought a Cuban cigar is from Venezuela!
I had fun taking pictures of blocks and blocks of mansions and estates in Miami! |
| Another residence of a mogul |
| | More mansions! Yes, baby! This is where a lot of millionaires vacation! They build huge houses and buy expensive yachts and pay housesitter and a gardener to take care of their estates!
I also saw the mansion where they shot the "Scarface" by Al Pacino but I can't seem to find the photo. I shot these pictures, by the way, from my Cyber-shot Sony 1080 and forgive me if it doesn't look as clear. |
