When it rains, it pours!

When you visit Florence, you should have at least three days just to be able to really enjoy the city, see the different arts and architectures scattered all over the town, embibe the amazing culture, walk around the markets and just appreciating everything the city can offer!

What did I do in Florence?

1. I went to the Duomo despite the heavy rain
2. Visited the night market
3. Looked at the house where Dante was born
4. Ate real Italian cuisine despite my gastro-problems!
5. Met with some locals and immigrants
6. Window-shopped at the jewelry shops close to the Urno River
7. Checked out to those Ferinze scarves
9. Checked the sculptors and attempted to see David

The Skylight at the Duomo

I wish I can show you all the detailed paintings inside the duomo. But this is my best shot as I was using a broken camera!

Just to see the exquisite paintings is spectacular! I can't believe how talented those artists in the old days. They made these paintings seem so easy.

Every wall of the church is filled with arts. It's arts everywhere...Amazing!!!

Travelling with a group is not for me!

As wet as a duck, in Florence

I travelled with a group when I went to Florence. It was the greatest mistake I made! Maybe, I am feeling this way because I broke my knee and I wasn't feeling well.

I didn't really like travelling with a group because it was so burdensome. I feel like I have to do exactly what they wanted me to do. I feel like I don't have freedom at all. It's not my kind of travelling so this will be my last time to travel with a group!

Florence is such a beautiful city and I could have explored more had I not been limited by the group I was in!

Pros and Cons

Pros:I will definitely come back to Florence during the summer so I can enjoy better
Cons:There are so many things to do but so little time!
In a nutshell:Make sure to come here during the summertime.

Sorry about your knee accident! I was careful & wore walking shoes when last in Rome (as usual) but noticed breaks in sidewalks more than before. Certainly because I'm older &wiser... Mostly kept thinking how my mother had said she'd love to come with me if she was younger. It would have been very trying for her, in many places. I fell into a huge hole in Veracruz in 2006, really hurt my knee (luckily totally recovered) & I've been more careful since. All the best!
