Restaurant Name: SUSHI YA - ROCKVILLE CENTRE

Sushi Ya sarted as a small restaurant in Rockville Centre on Merrick road. Few years ago it had only 4 tables. We going here at leas once a week. In about 2006 Sushi Ya moved up he block to a new larger locaion. Now rsauran is a medium size (about 10 tables of four + bar), but it still retain he same amosphere.
Tony is the chef/owner and Wendy, his wife greats you at the door.

Favorite Dish: The rolls in Sushi Ya are very innovative.
Our favorite is Sushi Ya #2. It has chopped clams on the top. We olso love the Vulcano Roll.
The quality of he fish is outstanding. We come to Sushi Ya since 2003 and we never had a bad meal.
We love to travel, and to eat food all over the world, but so far, we are eager to go home and swing by our favorite Sushi Ya.

Restaurant Name: NAGASHIMA - Jericho

We went to Nagashima in 2003 on one of our first dates. We returned to this place after 5 years in 2008 and were really happy to find it still in busines and still serving really great sushi.

Sushi in Nagashima is less crafty than the one in Sushi Ya, but to thir advantage, they have a full cooked menu. If you are not so nuts about sushi, you can have fantastic Japanese cooked dinner.
Quality of the fish in Nagashima is spectacular.

Nagashima Lobster
lobster tempura mixed in lightly spiced sauce
topped with caviar

White Tuna Kushiyaki
grilled white tuna served over spicy noodles

BBQ Tuna Salad
with japanese yuzu lime dressing

fresh scallops mixed with shrimp & crab baked
in our moto sauce

Spicy Sesame Chicken
white meat chicken, asparagus
& shiitake mushrooms grilled with spicy sesame sauce served over udon noodles

Nagashima Chicken
white meat chicken, asparagus
& shiitake mushrooms grilled with teriyaki sauce
served over udon noodles

Ishiyaki Steak
shell steak cooked on a stone plate
with steamed vegetables

Makoto Special
combination of three tuna, three yellowtail
& three fresh salmon
with California roll, eel handroll
& yellowtail/scallion handroll

And of course abundance of SUSHI!!!!

Restaurant Name: Azerbaijan - Westbury

Azerbaijan is a great break from sushi for us. It is conviniently located close to the biggest Long Island Mall in Westbury. Place has a great atmosphere, about 12 tables, and great service (unless they are training someone new :-)

Favorite Dish: We usually get there Falafel Platter, which consists of 3 large falafel balls, fabulus rice, hummus and grilled vegetable. We also enjoy their appetaizers like Sigara Borek, Kashkeh Badenjan, Buran..... all right, just check their web site!!!

Restaurant Name: Caffe Barocco

Barocco is a perfect place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just for coffee and a gossip with your best friend.
The interior is spectacular and there is a great summer garden behind restaurant.

Favorite Dish: We love eggs with salmon, and all their seafood tapas dishes.
