Mezzoforte: good pizza

This place is located on Boguslawa Promenade
They have nice garden during the summer.
Pizza is good - not the best but pretty good for Poland.

We usually go there for a small pizza and beer with my niece.
Service is not the best but also not the worse.

ARGUS: fishing village food

This place is about 40 min north of Szczecin on the polish/german border.
It is located in small fishing village called Nowe Warpno.

We go there few times every summer as the food is outstanding.

Favorite Dish: We love their fish soup and fish soup with fish pierogi.
We love fried fish and pierogi and salad.
Clearly everything they have is delicious.

Directions: When you drive through NOwe Warpno make left into Zeromskiego Street and park on the lot on the right side of the road. Cross the street - the Argus Bar is located on the left side of Zeromskiego Street.

Teatr Maly: Small restaurant at the local theatre

This place is located on Boguslawa Promenade next door to our beloved Cafe Fanaberia.
It is called Teatr Maly (Small Theater)
I went there with my friends to have some pierogi and salads.
We were very happy with the quality of the food and service.
We will definitely be back next year.

Agroturystyka Italiana: Best Italian food in Poland

This place is a gem.
You can find it on a local road that goes from Goleniow to Wolin.
We like to drive on this road is it is not too much traffic comparing to the main road.

In a small village called Zarnowo there is a small B&B or Agroturystyka as they call it in Poland.

The place is run by an Italian husband and Polish wife.
He cooks right there in the main dining room and BOY HE COOKS!!!

Food is really delicious and pizza is outstanding.

Favorite Dish: We tried several dishes.
Our favorites are pizzas and pasta with truffles.

W. Koch bakery and cafe: nice cafe and bakery

W. Koch is one of the oldest (after WWII) bakeries in Szczecin.
During communism they had only one store and the line was always out of the door.
Now they have several stores and cafes where you can enjoy great paczki and jagodzianki and have delicious cappuccino.

Fanaberia Cafe: Our favorite place in Szczecin

After all those years Fanaberia is stronger than ever :-)

You can see personal touch of the owner on every step.
The waitresses are probably the nicest in entire city of Szczecin. They will go out of their way to please their costumer. If you go there often they will remember your favorite drinks and make them the way you like it.

Aside of different type of coffee and tea they also have small food menu. Their mozzarella and tomato salad is pretty good.

Often they have home made ice cream - last summer they made green tea ice cream - and that is very unusual for Poland.

We go there pretty much every day we are in Szczecin.
We order our favorite coffe or tee and read books for few hours.
This is also our meeting spot with my friends who are always busy and often run late.

Kawiarnia Fanaberia: best hot chocolate in the town!!!

So, Szczecin can be sometimes fussy and grumpy, rainy and yucky, if that happen in the middle of the summer, don't let it bother you. Call the taxi and ask for a ride to Boguslawa Promenade. Right in the middle of the Boguslawa, you will find nicely decorated coffee shop called Fanaberia.

Fanaberia has some great tables inside, but don't be affraid, if it is not raining too hard :-) try to sit outside, having a hot expresso, or hot chockolate on a chilly Polish summer day is something you can't experiment in too many places.

Service is nice, drinks are great and sipping your drink on a busy promenade and people watching can be really great idea to lighten the rainy day.

Favorite Dish: My favorite is hot chocolate made by Wedel, famous polish chockolate producer. Santo can swear by their expresso coffee with little ice cream inside. Everything is really great in Fanaberia. It is really an upscale European standard.

Ladoga: Best service and food in Szczecin

Ladoga is probably the nicest restaurant in Szczecin. Not only the food is great but the service is excelent. No matter what time of day or night you will get there and how "profitable" are you to the restaurant the stuff will be happy to see you and they will make you feel like at home. The restaurant is inside a ship docked on Waly Chrobrego. During the summer months it is a pleasure to eat outside on the deck.

Favorite Dish: Every dish I ever had in Ladoga was delicious, also thir wine list is great. Restaurant is not cheap for Poles, but if you make your money somewhere else it is really inexpensive.
