"Unknown Rhodes" Rhodes (Island) by Jawnuta

When going to Rhodes we did not know how much the island has to offer. We were sure it will be an overdeveloped place with resort hotels next to each other and steak in every restaurant.
Well, that is only a half truth.
Rhodes has also a wild side, and we were lucky to see it.

We went to Rhodes on our way from Turkey. We took a hydrofoil from Fethye to Rhodes.
When we arriver we find out there is a ferry to Santorini in few hours and another in 3 days. We decided that we had to see at least a little bit of Rhodes and got a tickets to Santorini departing in 3 days.
We then grabbed our oversized bags and started rolling towards the Old Town. We didn't get to far behind the gates of the town when we decided it is just too hot to roll our luggage in the search of the hotel. We parked our bags in the shade, and I left my hubby in a search of the hotel.
I found Michael Angelo Pension after short walk and booked a room, then returned to get my hubby and bags. We spend an evening in the Old Town recuperating from the heat exhaustion :-) Next morning we rented a car and went around the island to places that are not frequent by tourist to discover some REAL RHODES.
