I have been very lucky to have visited Rome in 1988, 1989, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2002, 2005, 2006 , 2007 (three trips), and 2008 (here now -- 2 more trips planned later this year). The city never gets old to me and it never loses its charm. I have gone for work and for pleasure, taking my mother twice, my nieces twice, and even my ex-wife --but only once!

I'll be back in June again this year and look forward to more Baffetto's pizza and a gelato or two.

I believe Rome is the greatest walking city in the world and enjoy meandering through the numerous neighborhoods throughout the city.

Sure I love the Spanish Steps and the Fontana di Trevi, but have come to love the off the beaten track neighborhoods and never eat at the same restaurant twice -- with two exceptions -- Baffetto's and another hidden gem (which unfortunately must remain hidden -- it's that special).
