Name of Shop: Agatha
Its located in the Carrousel du Louvre and sells really pretty, inexpensive jewelry. If you're looking to purchase a nice gift for someone back home, this would seem like a nice place to do it. Everything says "made in France" on it, so that's always a bonus!
What To Buy: I bought a chain with a pendant. There are A LOT of options if that is something you are looking for, but they also sell bracelets, earings, and other accesories.
What To Pay: 40+ euros

Name of Shop: Monoprix
We go to Monoprix as our local grocery store, but its actually more than a grocery store. To me, it reminds me of a nicer, smaller Wal-mart... maybe more in line with a small Target. They sell personal items like shampoo, deoderant, etc. and they also sell clothes for the whole family, kitchen items, toys, jewelry, outdoor furniture, etc. The one nearest us is actually a smaller version, but if I walk about 15 minutes I can get to a larger one that has A LOT more selection.
What To Buy: Anything and everything
What To Pay: I spend at least 40 euros every time I go

Nemorino Sat Apr 21, 2007 11:50 UTC Having a small child really does give you a different perspective on a place. I had nearly forgotten all that, but now have two grandsons (2 years and 2 months old). Glad you found a good carrousel for your son. |
