Our attempt to cover Victoria in 9 days, we covered quite a fair bit... It was a good experience though we got lost once from Ballarat to Puffing Billy.

The Melway street directory is a must and must check that it comes with the rental car. We forgot to check and thank goodness I downloaded maps from the internet so we never really got lost...

Take car ferry from Sorrento
