Small old City but lots to do I travelled here with my brother in 2005. We stayed for 3 nights and fell in love with the small but interesting city. It is not like my home town Rome which is always busy but we still found there was a lot to take up our time. We particularly enjoyed visiting the cathedrale and the interesting and amusing "Canterbury Tales". The old traditional pubs gave a good sense of being in "real England" |
"Garden of England" Situated in the southeastern corner of England, Canterbury lies within the rural county of Kent, which is often called "The Garden of England." What the city lacks in modern urbanization it makes up for in medieval landmarks, a picturesque rolling countryside, and charming Tudor dwellings. |
