Lombok is one of island in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) which closes to Bali. Unlike Bali, the majority of people here are Moslem. Polygamy practice is common in this island. Since people in Lombok believe in the power of magic they often go to ‘Dukun’ to put some magic on a person that they love so that he/she will fall in love with him/her.

Lombok has tremendously beautiful fresh water pearl jewelery. They have 1st quality and 2nd quality fresh water pearls in a good store. Local people also sell pearl on the street for cheaper price

In Gili Air

Unlike Bali, Lombok is less visited from tourists. I love Gili islands. The beach here just simply beautiful and untouchable. When you go to this place your clock just stop ticking. You don’t feel that you are in the fast pace of your daily routine. People in Gili islands enjoy their life and very relax.

Me, trying to weave songket

Sasak Tribe is well-known with their handicraft ‘songket’. All girls in Sasak tribe should learn how to weave songket otherwise they cannot get married. Well, fortunately, I was not born in Sasak family otherwise I won’t get married until I get old:p

Sasak people also have a traditional lifestyle. They live in a hut made from cow’s excrement. It doesn’t stink, though!!
