By the time i 've arrived for the first time in Brussels i thought that it was another typical grey western european country. Three years latter, moments before leaving Brussels for my returning trip to Greece i was glad that my opinion changed by 180 degrees. I am a meditterranean guy but i admit that i fell in love with Brussels. It's a wonderful city. The only thing that you have to do is to have some free time and its secrets will be revealed to you. It is not only the typical touristic places that you should visit. There are a lot of off the beaten paths that wait for you to uncover them. Visit the museums, walk at the center of the city, visit the waterloo, the lakes of Tervuren, take a bus, a train or hire a car and visit the suburbs. You will be astonished by the "wealth" of the nature and the perfectly preserved picturesque villages in 20-30 minutes distance from Brussels.

I 've lived in Brussels three of the best years of my life. One is for sure, when my doughter grows up a little more, my number one destination will be Brussels. Thank you for the unforgetable memories that you donated to us. Thank you Belgium.
