Take a Boat or a plane that floats! | Seaplane, Yankee Freedom II and the Fast Cat |
From Key West you have a choice of two ferry boats. Both leave key west at 8 AM and get you back at 5:30 or so. If you have the money take the seaplane for a scenic fast trip out and back. And if you have a sailboat come out and drop the hook for a week or so. |
|  | Many a Cuban refugee has made it ashore at the Dry Tortugas. Here are just three Chugs impounded by the NPS. Chugs are homemade boats with makeshift automotive diesel engines in them. They pack 12 to 16 people into these small barely seaworthy boats. |
