No this old Impala isn't mine. It's got antique Ohio tags. I saw it parked here in KW and had to put it on the homepage. Good to see other Calvin and Hobbes fans driving what we call "Conch Cruisers" here on the island.

The Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race has been held every October for the last nineteen years. I managed to sign on as crew again this fall for the fourth time on as many schooners. Don't know why I waited five years to do it again. Great sailing and great parties in Baltimore as well as Portsmouth.

Cross country travels

Laurel Highlands, Pennsylvania 2009

I've had many cross country adventures by Motorbike, car and van. I even hitch hiked from Berkley to Virginia in the early eighties. My next crossing hopefully will take me to Alaska. Some good books on the subject: "Travels with Charley" by John Steinbeck. "On the Road" by Jack Kerouak, and "Blue Highways" by William Least Heat Moon.

Thanks so much for taking a peak at my Keys page! AK is okay, I thought I would love it much more than FL but it hasn't quite turned out like that...ah well. I've been slacking on my VT pages...trying to update my drive to AL and some old FL pages :)
