Yes isn't that just weird, but it is true....it snows in Australia. Most people wouldn't associate Aus with snow, frost and skiing/snowboarding, but it is a very versatile country from top to bottom. Yet, I know some kiwis would disagree with me but the Snowy Mountains does have a unique charm when it comes to skiing. Imagine being surrounded by snow gums (Eucalyptus trees) while a warm sun bakes you. Perfect and I love it, so please check out the pictures and the text. Lift passes are bought at Thredbo Centre right at the Valley Terminal building. The cost for a two day pass is $A144. The best times to go skiing is from mid July to end of August, but there's snow fall from Late May until late September. |
