This was the most expensive accomodation we forked out for over two weeks in the region, and the beautiful desert aside, it was pretty awful.
The tents themselves were fine, but the "authentic bedoiun food" all tasted like it had been boiled in kerosene, and had us burping up petrochemicals for the entire evening.
The camp site ran out of water early on, and we had nothing to drink but the occasional thimble full of very sweet tea. Breakfast was pretty scant, as by the time we got there at 7.30, those who had slept out in the sandstorm for the whole night had eaten and drunk almost everything.
We only went to this campsite because we were heatstruck and hooked up with a bloke who had a certain blue-themed guidebook that recommended it, albeit some years ago. Methinks this may be a good example of positive publicity spoiling an otherwise okay experience.
Unique Qualities: Lovely views of the desert. But you can get them all over the place.
