"My trip to the Blarney Castle!" a Blarney Travel Page by ChartIt

My first trip abroad was to Ireland, and I did end up at Blarney Castle and the Blarney Stone. I didnt really understand what this stone would look like or what this whole kissing the stone involved. The tale is that if you kiss this rock, it looks really dark there, you can become the most eloquent person ever. Well what they dont tell you is that they hang you upside down, with that lovely old man holding on to you, and hang you out a crack in the castle wall. That being said they do have a big wire saftey net underneath you. But if you think about how many people kiss that rock, and how easy it could be to do some nasty things to that rock. You might not want to kiss it. I eventually said, ok I am this far I might as well go for it. But I am hanging up side down there, and I just couldnt do it. My friend took that picture, and a moment later he has one of me sprinting up. I really freaked out, I couldnt kiss the rock.

But! If you did, the picture they take of you kissing that rock, kinda looks like me preparing to kiss the rock.
