Town of Small Cottage Industries

Kempas, a small and idyllic town that is located north of Johor Bahru, would not be a place where tourists would visit. Searching for information on the internet yielded little secrets about this town, except that there's a hospital there.

But it is usually these are the small towns that will throw you a few surprises in terms of what you can see or do. If not for the tour that brought us there, I would have missed out on this small town completely. Not known for any tall buildings or impressive monuments, Kempas provides visitors with that "kampung" feel where the villagers are warm and friendly.

Very interesting account of Kempas... Just curious, is "Sun Travel" an agency based in S'pore? Any website?
