Restaurant Name: Pacific Food Junction

After long drive, we wanted some local comforts and more importantly, an air-conditioned locale and somewhere that we did not want to prod further. Since we were at the Batu Pahat Mall, the food court on the third level proved to be the best choice, though it did not serve the best of food.

Favorite Dish: My family and I ordered different food so that we'd get a varied fare. The mutton briyani was good but the papadom seemed to go soft rather quickly. The soup for the mee soto was rather watery and the gravy for the mee rebus was not as thick and delicious as one would expect the gravy to be. But if you're looking for a quick bite to fill your tummy and you're quite desperate just like me, this food court is still alright.

Restaurant Name: Ah See Wanton Noodle

I've read so much about this wanton noodle shop that I made it a quest for me to look for this particular shop. We got the directions from the local and headed straight for the shop.

Ah See wanton noodle shop had moved to a new place and one good thing is that the parking is more than adequate. BUT! when we got there, the shop was closed for Lunar New Year (It was the third day of the Lunar New Year and on the sign pasted on their shutter, they mentioned that they would be open on the fourth day). We were returning to singapore and thus, did not have the opportunity to try out the wanton noodle.

Promise i'll be back again. Please don't close your shutter on me. Sob sob.

Favorite Dish: Wanton noodles! They sell soya bean drink too - Always a good compliment.

Restaurant Name: Restoran SY

Teemed with disappointment of not being able to savour the succulent roast pork at Ah See Wanton Noodle Shop, my family and I moved ourselves to a seafood restaurant just a couple of doors away from the famed Noodle Shop - Restoran SY. This restaurant looked like it was newly-opened but somehow, the locals seemed to like this place (Are there no other restaurants in Batu Pahat?).

Favorite Dish: We ordered a packaged dinner that came with set dishes - Prawns, cod fish, vegetables, "kong" bak and mushroom with meat. Everything came up to about RM260 for 10 persons.
