Beautiful!!!

Palm Beach
This was our first visit to this beautiful island and we were awestruck by the beauty of the water. It was a shade of aqua that I have never seen before. We only had a day to spend because we were on a cruise but we made the most of it- went horseback riding along the coast in the morning, shopping at port at lunchtime, and relaxed at Palm Beach in the afternoon.

Horseback riding

So I rode Geronamo and my husband rode Al Capone- two great horses who took us on a wonderful ride through this amazing island. See my tips for the ranch name. The interesting thing about Aruba is it has a desert-type landscape although surrounded by beautiful oceans.
Aruba is just 20 miles off the coast of Venezuela but apparently there are no boats/ferries that go back in forth. The only way to get there is by plane which can be quite expensive, according to the locals.
