Our visit to Vatican city consisted of visiting the Vatican museums and St. Peter's basilica, which is probably the typical visit for tourists. So I probably do not have anything significant to add as there is plenty of information out there about visiting this area. Although I am not Catholic, nor do I have very much interest in that religion, I did appreciate my visit to this city. I recognize the history, influence, and power this sovereignty has had in the world. |
| | The best art collection in the world! The Vatican museums are considered to have some of the greatest art collections in the world. The amount of art to look at can be almost overwhelming. There is so much to take in, miles of art to explore. Of course the Sistine Chapel is a highlight- it was truly amazing. |
St. Peter's Nothing can prepare you for St. Peter's basilica- it was the most immense and elaborate structure I have ever seen. | | |
