Wow, I read that Naples was a "gritty" city but I wasn't expecting to be as crazy as it actually was when we stepped off the train. Naples is the most densely populated city in Europe and is has the most crime of Italy's cities. Because of this, I probably wouldn't want to spend a lengthy vacation here, but I will say that Naples has many gems that can be found. It is also just a great experience to see this extreme way of living. We only spent a day here, so my perception is limited, but see my tips for some cool things to do. |

While on a cruise last summer, we docked in Naples but opted to see Pompeii & Sorrento. Your page is helping me remember the little that I did see in Naples! |
